I want to buy savings bonds for my children,what is the best way to go about doing that,through a bank like Bank of America,and how much is the minimum to put in there.I really don’t know anything about them i just heard it would be a good investment and that you can put a time limit to it like they can’t cash it out till they are 21 if you wish or older,what is the best way to start looking into that investment,or any suggestions on what i can set up like that?

I am currently receiving unemployment benefits in CT and am thinking about starting my own home improvement business. Does anybody know how that will affect it? Would i stop receiving benefits right when I register the business or once I start bringing home a paycheck? Any feedback is appreciated

My specialty is real estate, however, in California the market is WAY to volatile. I already have a large sum of money and I’ve always heard that “it takes money to make money.” Well, I have the money, how do I make it? Real Estate is out for me right now. The stock market is tricky and volatile right now too. I don’t trust handing my money over to someone who cannot show me details about his/her success in the past. I don’t want to bust my butt trying to sell anything. I don’t want to buy your ebook. I don’t want to get involved in some money making scheme that’s been “successful” since 2006. With that said, who has the best ways to do this? Is there a good book on this subject?

Q&A: Ecommerce or Blog? What makes more money?
I have read tons of info about ecommerce and or blogs and how to use them to make money. And when I say blog I mean a pro-designed highly monetized one. Eventually I want to roll out both, but can a blog make any real money alone? Is it worth the 2-3K in design fees? I’ve seen a month all the way up to 5K-10K a month for some blogs in earnings. Or are blogs better used as a marketing/info site for your products/website and not really a vehicle for money making? Is a blog alone viable enough? I love to write and find sales/inventory/customer service, etc difficult and expensive. But at the same time ecommerce also has huge potential. I have to do one or the other for now due to budget restraints.

Q&A: Does capital loss offset self employment tax?
I have a capital loss from stock trades, and I do some transcription work and have 1099 income. The stock trade losses exceepd my 1099 income, but Turbotax is telling me I owe self employment tax. How can I get the trade losses to reduce or wipe out this self employment tax?

Q&A: Is ebay really that bad to buy from when it comes to Gothic lolita clothing?
I’ve heard a lot of controversy about buying from lolita stores on ebay. I’ve looked at other places like annahouse and inthestarlight but they don’t really have what I’m looking for (I’m kinda particular). I’m thinking of buying from cosplay007′s store i can tell some of the pictures are stolen, but if u have ordered from ebay are the replicas really that bad?
