You can open a separate “pay pal” account. or just buy a cashiers check and send it to them. I work at a bank and these two seem to be the best way that I have seen.

I have dealt with many transactions on ebay, both buying and selling. The safest way is to open a paypal account. Use the bank acct you are using for the transaction. When dealing with that kind of money, it’s best to use paypal, check the sellers feedback rating, always read the feedback people have left lately. Sometimes people don’t want to leave negative feedback, so they leave positive but then say something negative in the comments.

His suggestion sounds complicated…which is fishy.

Happy bidding!

SCAM!!!!!!!!!! there is no ebay team, if you pay you’ll be out the money.

IT IS A SCAM. The pictures are copied from some other site, possibly even a real eBay item. But the offer you received is 100% fake. You will be asked to send ,000 by Western Union or MoneyGram. When you do, the scammer picks it up. And you can never get your money back. Western Union and MoneyGram will not help recover your money. That’s why scammers use wire transfer services, and why they are not allowed on eBay.

I repeat, IT IS A SCAM. There is not even the tiniest shred of a possibility that this is a legit offer. SCAM SCAM SCAM.

Paypal is very secure when it comes to monetary transactions. If he were to rip you off, paypal would reverse the transaction. It would be best for him, and you, if he were to upload a tracking number to paypal. When the shipment is confirmed, or if you give him positive feedback, then paypal will release the funds to him. Paypal is a safe and efficient way to buy. I would not advise you to pay for items outside of paypal because you might get scammed. If a seller does not accept paypal as a form of payment, then most likely they are scammers.

I would never buy or sell something that expensive with completing the transaction in person – there are escrow services out there

Something really bad stuck out in your question: “ebay team”. There is no such thing as an ebay team. And that is a known term scammers use to lure in victims.
