I have some savings bonds, but have no record of the numbers, and cannot find the actual papers themselves. Is there a website or government number I can call to find out how much they’re worth and cash them in, or am i sqrewed?

Do a search on stale bonds (ones that have stopped paying interest in the past 4 or so years):
http://www.treasurydirect.gov/indiv/tools/tools_treasuryhunt.htm
Alternately use form PDF 1048 E to request a search.

Go to the official website, www.savingsbonds.gov. I use it often to track the value of my bonds. You can get more information there. Good luck.
