Anytime you go for an interview you have to give them all this information about you including your SSN. So over your lifetime, who knows how many databases your SSN is in. Do you think that self-employment is the future?
I mean is self-employment the only way we can retain our privacy?

Sorry, No. You still have to give it up to the IRS for an EIN. You have to give up the EIN to every other business that pays you for goods or services.
The government is still intercepting your phone calls and e-mail at its base inside the ATT building in San Luis Obispo CA. You are being CCTV monitored almost everywhere you go.

I agree tha t Self employment give you a little more freedom, and I would say you are still better off self employed, but person above me is right, each business has an Employer Identification # (EIN) and still lots of records. SSN, Liscence #, Hosp records, Credit scores AND AZ now has their speed cameras on residential streets that can check your liscense plates as you drive by (not even only If you speed) to verify against the data base. it’s great! More money for the state when they’re in budget crunch I am sure there was no other hidden motive such as information collection!
