Q&A: Would you consider time management as an academic weakness?
I have write a college essay, and it asks me about academic weaknesses..
My real weakness is writing papers, but that is essentail in college and i do not want to seem like i cannot make it through college.
So what would you think if i put time management which leads to not doing well academically in writing papers..

That’s a great one. Time management plagues nearly all high school and college students. You will come off as having a good perspective if you can realize and admit that you procrastinate too much. In my opinion, time management is the root of most failures, academic and otherwise.

This sounds like a good topic for a college essay. All students have time management issues. Most tasks can be looked at by two dimensions; is it important and is it urgent? Students should prioritize their effort on important and urgent tasks, like that paper they have due next week. Students should avoid not important and not urgent tasks, like watching television. Sometimes when we don’t want to do what we need to do, we spend time on those not important and not urgent tasks to fill our time. We all do it occasionally, so this topic is an honest weakness to explore in your essay.
