Is Is True….(students Form Overseas Encouraged To Participate)?
that people on student visas in the US have more opportunities than a US citizen when it comes to further education? Specially at MS, PhD.
My co-workers say that is easier for immigrant students to pursue further education…while US citizen don’t have that opportunity…what do you think? it this a fair statement?
I work with a lot of people form India, China, Russia, Germany, etc (80% of our researchers are foreign) and they seem to be the most qualified people. There are Americans who are qualified too, BUT my co-workers blame this on the system. I don’t agree, I think if anything it has to be harder (learn the language, learn the culture AND get the knowledege), be far away from home, many times on their own, etc.
I’m fulltime employee/part-time student American and all this is not easy (money and time) and I would like to know what are your experiences.
I’m looking for honest and OBJECTIVE answers please. Thank you
